The Bad Plus play Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold'

The Bad Plus played a stellar weekend at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Los Angeles.
Here's their incredible take Saturday night on Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold':

Hi, and thanks for putting these up! I was the one who asked for them on Dime. However, when I download them I only get a short excerpt of the beginning of each of them. Very strange--I'm told the file is 8 or 9 MB, but after 500 KB or so the download just stops. Could this be something at your end? I don't usually have any trouble downloading. But again, thanks for the effort!

i just spot-checked, and it looks like the 9/6 is having problems, while i would suggest in the meantime you try the 9/5 performance, as that seems to play (in quicktime--news to me) the first few seconds of audience, followed by silence while a download bar (similar to that you'd see as a youtube clip is loading) starts filling up. i've gotta think that the 9/5 is OK. let me know if you still have problems.
i'll reload the first clip.

it looks like they're both doing fine now.
let me know if you have any further problems.
what a great performance they do of this song.

Hi,

These are absolutely beautiful. I saw The Bad Plus play just the other day, and they were amazing as usual. I was curious to see if you had any of your transcriptions available, I would most love to see the one for Anthem for the Earnest (I think your interpretation is great). Thank you so much!

i've actually talked with david king about that possibility. i'm inagining it could happen as soon as we put our minds to it.
i'll consider this request with concentration and dispatch!
thanks for your kind words.
best,
chris
