Here, for your enjoyment, the complete Nonesuch CD comprised of my own arrangement of four movements from Stravinsky's l'Histoire du Soldat (complete with prepared piano in the 'Tango, Waltz & Ragtime'); the perennial favourite, Trois mouvements du Petrouchka, and the complete ballet, Apollon musagete, in a piano arrangement based on my own revisions of the Lourie or Stravinsky-penned piano reduction; My absolute most beloved Stravinsky piece of all time.
The sessions took place in January of 1993 in Friedrich Ebert Halle in Hamburg. The engineer was Kees de Visser. The production credit was given to Philip Waldway, a pseudonym for the then Philips-contracted producer, Willem Hellweg, an extraordinary musician.

I love the Stravinsky! Thanks for posting the CD. I notice the 4th movement of l'Histoire du Soldat is missing. Would you be willing to add that one?
done.
thanks for pointing out the missing link.
enjoy.

Dear Mr O'Riley,
I was lucky enough to have burned this CD from my local library, and is one of my all-time favourite Stravinsky recordings. I understand that you are coming to Brown soon, and hope that you will be playing something from it. If so, any clues? I look forward to October. Until then, I am,
Yours Sincerely,
Jonah Rosenberg
jonah-
thanks for your kind words on the stravinsky record. it's been one of my favourites for a while, and was such a pleasure to make.
it'll be strictly shostakovich, radiohead and elliott smith at my brown recital, i'm afraid. hope you can be there regardless. i'm playing the beethoven 'emperor' concerto with the university orchestra as well. should be fun.
best wishes,
chris

PS. There seems to be some discrepancy between your listing for the concerts here and those I received from Brown. We say 4 and 6 October, but you say 5 and 6. Should something be corrected?
i'm betting they know what they're talking about better than i do. sorry for my mistake.
